Random icons born out of necessity

This is my personal assault on icons that make great applications and games look like crap on my desktop. 16-color, 32 by 32 pixel icons were once the standard but blown up on a 24-bit desktop they start to look downright hideous. I use screenshots, concept art and wallpapers as my source material. I sometimes base my designs on the original icons. I try to break away from square image designs. The icons are made using mainly the free tools GIMP and @icon sushi.
